Dr. Alexandra Barosa-Pereira is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Certified Coach Mentor (CCM), and a Facilitator for Intercultural Executive Presence. I’m also an author and a researcher with books, chapters in books, and papers published on Coaching themes. I have been speaking internationally (with participation in lectures in places like São Paulo, Silicon Valley (California), Toronto, Columbia University in New York, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia) in matters of coaching, namely about: Coaching Cultures in Organizations; Intercultural Coaching; Team Coaching.
My work is built on listening and creativity. I’m creative when I work with my coaching clients, helping them to find themselves, be what and how they want, and have a positive impact on the world. We explore how they might lead with integrity and authenticity; and how to combine listening, presence, and impact. I don’t offer answers, but I listen hard, and I’m told that my curiosity and insights are awesome.
I’m creative when I design, teach, and facilitate workshops for leaders. Like playing jazz, I plan and rehearse the forms so that I can listen to what they need, respond, and improvise in the moment. I also often find myself offering listening as the key to effective leadership. So, I practise what I preach. And we frequently laugh as we learn.
I’m creative when I write about what I do and what I have discovered. I look for new insights that might help readers make sense of their experience. I collate and curate what I notice – bringing my different worlds together to give a fresh perspective on leading, coaching and being.
