We’re delighted to be hosting our first virtual conference, with the theme: Adaptive leadership in Extraordinary Times: How Coaching can contribute.
Day 1 will consist of two masterclasses:
Anthony Kasozi: In Recovery – Coaching and Accompanying Leaders (Leadership) and their Organisations Through Vulnerable Times. Anthony is consulting director and chief executive of Quilibra.
Simon Cavicchia: Existential Anxiety – A Relational Approach. Simon is an Executive Coach, OD Practitioner, Coach and OD Supervisor and UKCP Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist.
Day 2 will offer keynote-style and mini-skills sessions. Speakers/sessions will include:
Richard E. Boyatzis, professor, departments of organizational behavior, psychology, and cognitive science at Case Western Reserve University on The Science of Effective Coaching.
Sally-Anne Airey, founder of Skilful Leaders, on Space is the Place, a session exploring how to support leaders to create the space to think clearly, listen deeply, and hold that space – both for others to feel heard and to make the best decisions.
Josie McLean will be giving a keynote on Leader as gardener: a systemic leadership perspective to inform coaching.
Mark McMordie (CEO, The Conscious Leader), Lindsay Wittenberg (founder, Lindsay Wittenberg Ltd), Carole Osterweil (founder, Visible Dynamics) and Liz Hall (Liz Hall Coaching and editor of Coaching at Work), who will explore the role of coaching, psychological safety and compassion in adaptive leadership and teaming on the Coaching through Covid programme.
David B. Peterson will be giving a keynote on The DNA of VUCA: Coaching leaders to build agility and resilience in complex, disruptive times.
Sheila Panchal, Dr Siobhain O’Riordan and Prof Stephen Palmer will be running a mini-skills session titled, INSIGHT Coaching: Transition Resilience and wellbeing in the context of COVID-19 This session will explore the potential impact of COVID-19 on individual wellbeing. It will outline a model of transition resilience – INSIGHT – which is a tool that coaches can use when supporting people through transitions.
Other themes will include transitions and the climate crisis.
Sessions will be offered on topics including working with transitions, leader-as-coach, and mindful compassionate leadership. Speakers will include Sally-Anne Airey. Pro-bono initiative Coaching through Covid will share how its facilitative empowering approach to leadership helped it rapidly get to the point of coaching hundreds of key health and social care workers as well as building a nourishing community for participating coaches.
